The musical adaption of the seminal movie Love Of Siam is set to premiere this December, starring GMMTV duo Fourth Nattawat and Gemini Norawit.
รักแห่งสยาม The Musical will go on a two-week run, starting 11 December and ending on 25 December. The musical – produced by GMMTV – takes place at Bangkok’s Muangthai Rachadalai theatre.
Ticketing details and show times will be released soon, states GMMTV.
The year-end staging of the musical is significant as it is a nod to the original film, parts of which are set around the Christmas.
The original movie was released in 2007, and starred the actors Mario Maurer and Pchy Witwisit as the childhood friends Tong and Mew, respectively, who reconnected as teenagers.
The film – widely seen as being pioneering in the boys-love genre – details the duo navigating a complex, yet romantic relationship, alongside identity, and the pressures of those around them.
GMMTV in November 2025 revealed the casting for the musical, with Gemini playing the role of Tong, while Fourth plays Mew.
The agency first revealed plans to adapt the film into a musical in 2024, but no details were given then.
