Rock legends Bodyslam has teamed up with Jeff Satur for its newest single แผลเป็น, which it released on 9 May.
The song, which in English means ‘Scar’, is the fifth single from the band’s upcoming album Sunny Side Up, which will be released in June.
The emotive lyrics about lost love (‘Even though you are a faded wound / but the more blurry it becomes, the clearer it becomes’) pair with the artistically-shot music video. (ChaPop really digs the official release poster too!)
Mid-track, Jeff’s soaring vocals emerge – like his character in the MV – adding a lightness to the song and contrasting very nicely with lead singer ‘Toon’ Artiwara Kongmalai’s grittier vocals.
Jeff, who will be performing at ‘The Kingdoms’ Concert on 1 and 2 June, also has an epic guitar solo at the song’s climax.
According to the official music video, Jeff is also listed as one of the songwriters and arrangers for the track.
แผลเป็น is the latest in a series of collaborations by Bodyslam, which are set to perform at their sold-out concert in June. In March it joined hip-hop maestro F.HERO and Japanese heavy metal girl group BABYMETAL for the track Leave It All Behind.
