It’s Sunday, and here’s a round up of where some of our T-pop artistes were.

1. Lomosonic performed on a garbage truck

From taking off his shirt, to diving off stage in hot pants, ‘Boy’ Lomosonic is renowned for his stage antics during the band’s live concerts. He went another level last weekend – getting down and dirty when he jumped onto the back of garbage truck during the band’s mini HARDMODE event at Bangkok’s Chatuchak Market. He was probably saying Goodbye to the stench.

2. Zom Marie sang โหมดพระจันทร์ in Kimono

Zom Marie, who was travelling in Kyoto, dressed in a full Kimono outfit, stood in front of a traditional Japanese building with a working mic, and started belting โหมดพระจันทร์ (Silent Mode). We weren’t sure if she was busking, or engaged to entertain the tourists there. It looks pretty nevertheless.

3. Serious Bacon spotted in Shibuya, Tokyo

The duo recently recently released their first Japanese song I (don’t) MISS YOU, the first single out of their upcoming EP Album called ‘Dinner In Tokyo’, which is set for a Japan release this 13 May. Popular record store Tower Records has started putting up promotional billboard outside its busy Shibuya outlet in Tokyo, marking another high for the band.

4. Thai artistes in Tokyo, Japan

It’s not just Zom Marie and Serious Bacon who are in Japan currently. Boy Sompob, Copter, Tilly Birds, BNK48, CGM48, Atlas, 4EVE, LYKN, Bowkylion, The Toys, Tay Tawan, New Thitipoom, Gun Atthaphan, Off Jumpol, and Keng Tachaya are all in Tokyo for the 24th Thai Festival Tokyo, turning the city’s Yoyogi Park into Little Thailand for the weekend.

5. Pop legends reunite at Grammy RS Concert 2024

While the kids were at Bangkok’s BITEC for Gotcha Pop 2024, their parents let their hair down at Impact Arena for the year’s first Grammy RS Concert – HIT100 VOL2 concert. Featuring 90s pop legends such as Aof Pongsak, Boy Peacemaker, and Beau Sunita, the hall was transformed into a huge karaoke session for the thousands middle-age fans relieving their younger pop days. It’s a matter of time before perhaps Billkin, LYKN or Bright Vachirawit perform at a future edition of Grammy RS Concert 20XX.
