New music this week (20-26 May):
1. พร้อมจะไป (Take Off) – Kim Proxie
The fifth track from Proxie’s ongoing solo project, ‘Kim’ Pannathorn Jirasart’s พร้อมจะไป (Take Off) brings to mind a Y2K-resque pop-rock sound. The music video matches the rocker energy, right down to the faux-hawk and leather accessories.
2. Dancing On a Graveyard – Violette Wautier
The Thai-Belgian artiste released her highly-anticipated English comeback on 23 May, a dance-infused bop that sees Violette dancing for most of the music video.
3. So good so bad – MXFRUIT
MXFRUIT, the sister group to BUS Because of you I shine and DICE, have also released their comeback single. The track is lyrically empowering, topped off with a dance-pop sound that brings to mind a bit of Little Mix.
4. เพื่อนผมเกมได้ไง – TaitosmitH feat. TangBadVoice
TaitosmitH return to their social commentary roots with this song, which references police powers and inequality. The icing on the cake has to be from rapper TangBadVoice (who also stars in the MV), whose spitfire rap lines further drive home the message.
5. Bye Bye – D-NA
D-NA is the newest solo artiste to debut under RS Music’s BRIQ Entertainment. The hip-hop track nicely showcases her rich vocals, and the music video features the stunning visuals of BUS member Khunpol.
