Riser Music boy group LYKN took home their first award since debut at the annual ‘Kom Chad Luek Awards’, while labelmate ‘Fourth’ Nattawat received his first acting honours.

Five-member LYKN, which made their debut only a year ago, beat out other nominees like BUS because of you I shine, GNEST’s Tigger Theriault and Fourth, to win the award.

Writing on social media, the group says: “Thank you for all the support that led (us) to win the award…the award means a lot to us.”

LYKN member ‘Lego’ Rapeepong adds: “Words can’t describe [how I feel] right now. Let’s go to the next part!”

The star-studded ‘Kom Chad Luek Awards’ saw honours given out for acting and music categories, covering a mix of judge’s choice and popular voting.

Singer-actor Fourth, who was the night’s most nominated artiste, went home with the Rising Star Award for his role in the GMMTV drama series Moonlight Chicken. It is the 19-year-old’s first acting award since entering the industry more than two years ago.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Fourth says the award is “a great start for me”. Thanking GMMTV and his fans, he adds: “There are many things that I want to achieve. I want you all to wait to see my progress.”

Riser Music artistes were not the only ones celebrating milestones. Indie pop duo fellow fellow were the night’s only double winners, clinching awards for best group, as well as best song, for ดาวหางฮัลเลย์ (Halley’s Comet).
