Getsunova has tapped on up-and-coming boys-love (BL) pairing ‘Jes’ Jespipat and ‘Bible’ Wichapas to star in a short film inspired by their newest single, ไม่ต้องมีที่ที่ให้ฉันอยู่ แต่ขอแค่มีฉันอยู่ก็พอ (Spaceless).
The short film, called by the same name, was released on 4 June, and stars the two Be On Cloud actors as – you guessed it – actors casting for a BL series.
Without spoiling too much, the film ends on a bittersweet note, complete with hints of Getsunova’s newest track – so prepare your tissues. You can watch the full feature here:
The short film – which has received plenty of positive response from fans of ‘JesBible’ and Getsunova alike – is possibly the conclusion of a recent song launch campaign.
If the new song sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the same piece Getsunova has featured heavily in its recent social media posts. Vocalist ‘Name’ Prakarn approaches label executives (Getsunova are signed to White Music) to ask about a possible release date for a new song.
Viewers are not given an answer, and instead gets posed the question: When will the new song release?
Name then takes to the streets, where he approaches members of the public with a snippet of the song – to hilarious results. The band even performed at a busy cross-junction and at a noodle shop.
The question of when and how the new song will be released is finally answered: the label feels this new song should be released “in a big way”, hence the addition of Bible and Jes in the short film, as part of a “two-step” release.
Getsunova will release ไม่ต้องมีที่ที่ให้ฉันอยู่ แต่ขอแค่มีฉันอยู่ก็พอ (Spaceless) on 6 June.
