Studio Wabi Sabi actor Earth Katsamonnat, who was at ‘Bangkok Pride Festival 2024’ recently, shared with ChaPop his joy on the progress the country’s same-sex union bill has made.
The openly gay actor – known by his Instagram handle @cooheart – believes that, “This year is the year that we will represent the traditional Thai-ness in our own way. It is a good sign that equality will flourish in the world. Honestly, Earth wants every month to be a Pride month for equality.”
Earth, who is currently filming the series ‘Fo(u)rever You Project‘, was at the weekend’s parade dressed in a rainbow sash with a Thai touch.
Explaining the concept behind his look, he said that it was inspired by a line from American-singer Katy Perry’s song Fireworks, that says ‘After a hurricane comes a rainbow’. It relates to his childhood life, struggles and overcoming obstacles, he said.
