The Toys appears to be making his musical comeback, more than a month after an emotional confession that he considered quitting the industry altogether.
His label What The Duck music put a teaser on 12 July, stating “Guess Who’s Back?” At first glance it looks like a plain poster in black, but sharp-eyed fans pointed out there was more than met the eye.
One comment asked users to “adjust the brightness of the photo”, stating: “When I did so, I cried!” As it turns out – the poster shows the silhouette of the 28-year-old singer – much to the excitement of fans.
What The Duck later followed up with a series of rapid-fire questions with The Toys, in an apparent spoiler of the new song. According to him, the new track is a fast-tempo love song that can be sung with friends, and has a rap portion.
It remains to be seen if this is indeed true, but it will mark the first time The Toys drops new music since his shock disclosure at The Kingdoms concert in early June.
During the concert, where he was one of the four key performers, a tearful The Toys said he planned to exit music, but the overwhelming reception he received across the two-day concert, had got him to rethink his decision.
What The Duck provided no further details on the comeback, but in the lead-up to the teaser, it had been posting his old works. That led fans to believe The Toys was definitely not quitting.
