Four Thai bands are set to take the stage in Taipei as part of the Jam Jam Asia music festival.

Organised as part of the 2024 Trendy Taipei event, the two-day festival takes place on 7-8 September at the Taipei Music Centre.

The four Thai acts taking part are Only Monday, Polycat, Television off, as well as Slapkiss. The festival also features performers from Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Organisers say the festival “will uphold the spirit of fusion”, enabling Taiwanese musicians and regional artistes to exchange ideas.

“Jam Jam Asia (also) hopes to lead the music trend from Taipei and build an Asian music base,” it adds.

The four Thai acts are the latest in a recent string of artistes to perform in Taiwan. GNEST girl group VIIS was at the Golden Melody Awards – making their international debut – while Mean performed in Taichung in May.
