Universal Music Thailand’s PUN has tapped URBOYTJ for his newest single BF, a song about moving from being best friends to…boyfriend.
The track is the follow-on single from the popular hit Day One, and sharp-eyed viewers will notice several consistent themes – from the outfits, even down to the cast – on the music video.
In writing the song, PUN says he wanted a break from the heartbreak tracks he previously wrote about, instead producing one with an easy-listening vibe to it.
The title BF is a play on double meanings: PUN says it could either mean boyfriend or best friend. The inclusion of hip-hop star URBOYTJ came mid-writing, when PUN he thought about the music of his youth, especially the ones from the now-defunct Kamikaze label, which URBOYTJ used to be part of.
