Jeff Satur has confirmed a world tour is in the works, which will take him to at least three cities in Latin America, as well as in cities in Asia.
Speaking at a press conference on 4 March in Bangkok, Jeff says that more information on the world tour – including ticket sales and the initial cities – will be released next week.
Jeff’s tour of Latin America will mark his first solo concert in the region. The singer-actor has a huge following in the region, and acknowledged that a lot of fans take long journeys to get to Bangkok to catch his performances.
The world tour will take place after the Red Giant Concert, which takes place at Bangkok’s Impact Arena for one night only on 3 May. It also follows Jeff’s successful run on the Space Shuttle No.8 tour, which took him to cities in Asia like Hong Kong and Singapore.
Jeff says the inspiration for the Red Giant concert came from Space Shuttle, which he said was a “journey” that needed a “landing point”.
The name ‘Red Giant’ comes from the astronomy term for a star at that is near its end and has expanded into a giant and bright red star. Jeff likens this to being on the cusp of a “rebirth”.
He also teases what fans can expect at the concert, hinting at a “cinematic” concert experience that will detail “various stages” of life.
“I want everybody to come for [the concert]…this has always been my dream,” Jeff says of his first-ever Impact Arena showcase.
Jeff also released a teaser film for the upcoming concert – a stunningly shot 2-minute video that gives fans some hints of what is to come.
The concert and tour add to an already busy schedule that Jeff has. He has self-produced series – Happy Ending – in the works, and is currently a mentor on the idol survival show Chuang Asia 2.
To top it all off, Jeff announced at the press conference that a new song – a Thai song – is in the works. The track is “about 89% done”, he says, with its release to come soon.
