Thai artistes and music labels have rallied to offer support and call for donations to those affected by the deadly flooding in southern Thailand.

Artistes like Palmy, Oat Pramote and Daou disclosed donations to disaster relief and victim support efforts.

The nine southern provinces of Thailand have been hit by the worst flooding in decades, with over 2 million people affected. The floods have left 13 people dead, led to widespread power outages, and caused plenty of infrastructure damage.

Daou said he offered his support to those affected by the floods, disclosing a donation of 50,000 THB to the Songkhlanagarind Hospital. In a social media post, he also posted avenues in which fans can donate to.

Palmy, meanwhile, donated 100,000 THB towards relief efforts, adding: “I wish all brothers and sisters in the south and volunteers to be safe. There is one heart here that is watching and sending concern to you.”

Oat Pramote, through his WHY LIVE foundation, donated 1 million THB to flood relief efforts, with the WHY LIVE channel organising a live busking session in Bangkok’s Siam Square on the evening of 25 November to raise funds and rally support.

Artistes who attended include ATLAS members Erwin, Nice, Poom and Tad, as well as Maiyarap, URBOYTJ, Jackie Jackrin and MEYOU.

Across the day and on social media, more artistes also shared avenues in which fans could donate, as well as numbers and tips for those affected by floodwaters.

Meanwhile, GMM Music announced on social media it would be donating 1 million THB to help flood victims in the south, and offered avenues where fans can help donate.

Out of respect for the ongoing flood crisis, several labels, including Sonray Music, GNEST, LOVEiS Entertainment, LiT Entertainment, said they would be suspending the release of new content indefinitely, until the situation returns to normalcy.
