PiXXiE held their PiXXiE Tales Concert: The Enchanted Ceremony on 7 February, marking their fifth anniversary since debut with a show-stopping concert packed with familiar songs, stunts, and plenty of star power.
The sold-out concert – the group’s first Impact Arena showcase – also saw a good dose of emotions, as the LiT Entertainment group reflect on a journey that began five years ago when three fresh faces entered the T-Pop scene.
Indeed, the showcase is as much a reflection of how much PiXXiE has grown, as it was a celebration of the sisterhood.
The concert is based in the setting of PiXXiE Land, with each of the three members the queen of their respective kingdoms.
The 4-hour concert, which started later than scheduled, kicks off with the group descending (literally) on the stage, as they perform their debut single DED. Talk about making a grand entrance.
The first guest for the night was LOVEiS Entertainment soloist Blue Pongtiwat, whose regal ‘do attracted plenty of screams from fans. He covered the PiXXiE track I want You, which originally featured labelmate Nont Tanont.
The group also surprised fans with their solo stages – not just through their dancing, rapping and vocal prowress, but also with the guest stars that showed up.
First was Ingkho, whose heartfelt rendition of her solo single สนทนา (Deep Talk) was given a surprising boost by the inclusion of BUS because of you I shine member Khunpol.
The duo then teamed up for a cover of BUS’ Liar – and let’s just say we think Ingkho could be an honorary member of the boy group.
Next to perform was Pimma, showcasing her chops as PiXXiE’s main dance and rapper. And in keeping to that theme, she brought on rap extraordinaire Milli, performing her solo single ACHOO!
Last but not the least was Mabelz, whose solo stage was highly anticipated. Indeed, fans were not disappointed when – in a sea of red and black – ex-Trinity member Porsche appeared.
The duo’s sizzling chemistry – the subject of fan chatter for weeks on end – was unmistakable during the performance of Heartstopper.
Guest stars aside, the group kept the energy up through the night, through a series of elaborate costumes and set designs, with a setlist that any fan feels right at home with.
Despite minor technical glitches during show, the girl group held their own, proving again why they are one of T-Pop’s top acts.
The night ends with yet another visual spectacle. As the group performed Magic Car, they flew – quite literally – on a magic car across the arena, thanking fans and capping off another successful concert.
