Riser Music boy group LYKN and 4EVE member Jorin Khumpiraphan are set to show off their acting chops in new GMMTV series, which are set to air later in the year.
The new series, which marks their first time starring in a series – were unveiled at GMMTV’s ‘Up And Above Part 2’ content showcase on 23 April.
LYKN will star in Thame – Po (เธม-โป้) Heart That Skips A Beat, with vocalist ‘William’ Jakrapatr Kaewpanpong starring in the lead role opposite GMMTV’s ‘Est’ Supha Sangaworawong.
The boys-love series is right up the group’s alley. In a teaser shown at the event, LYKN will play fictitious boyband Mars, with William’s character developing feelings for Est’s character, who is assigned to document the group’s day-to-day activities.
As for 4EVE’s Jorin, she makes her acting debut starring opposite GMMTV veteran ‘Off’ Jumpol Adulkittiporn in the comedy-drama Break Up Service บริษัทลดรักเลิก.
The comedy-drama centres on a company providing ‘Break up services’, with Off and Jorin working to break apart couples, but discover what love is, along the way.
It is not Jorin’s first time working with GMMTV artistes: she featured in Nanon Korapat’s single Knock Knock.
Riser Music artistes Krist Perawat, Gemini Norawit, Fourth Nattawat, Nanon and Win Metawin – all of whom are also actors with GMMTV – will also star in other new series such as period drama Scarlet Heart Thailand, thriller The Dark Dice เกมทอยทะลุมิติ, as well as rom-com เพราะแฟนเก่าเปลี่ยนแปลงบ่อย The Ex-Morning.
The GMMTV ‘Up and Above’ content showcase this year has been split into two parts, a break from previous showcases where the year’s new shows were packed into a single edition.
