Technical issues can sometimes crop up during a live performance, and for girl group PiXXiE, one such incident happened during the Kazz Awards ceremony.
The LiT Entertainment group was about to perform their newest single FEAT, when the incident – caught on a few fancam videos – happened.
Lead vocalist ‘Mabelz’ Suchada Sonphan sang the first line of the track when the music stopped. The music restarted from the top, but stopped again after a few seconds, catching ‘Mabelz’ off guard.
The trio then got into position for the start of the track again – to applause from the audience – but the music failed to start. Still, the girls were professional and held their pose – ‘Mabelz’ even jokingly let her pose down briefly, eliciting laughter from fans.
The music finally resumed, and while the girls tried to keep up at the first few lines, they more than made up for it by getting in sync – and singing live over the backing track.
On Youtube, fans praised the trio for their professionalism, and quick thinking. One wrote: “PiXXiE was able to solve the problem very well, and they sang live!” Another said: “The system was so bad, but (the group) was very capable.”
All is not lost either: the girls took home the award for Hottest Song of the Year at the Kazz Awards 2024, for their single ติดฝน (rain).
