Genie Records’ Num Kala is reportedly taking a break from worldly desires for a month, after being ordained as a monk on Saturday.
He checked in at a temple in Bangkok, where he had his head shaved as part of the ordination ceremony, witnessed by close family members.
In an Instagram post, he also left a message to his daughter that says “Father is not here for more than a month. Get well soon, kid”.
The singer, whom recently released the single อวยพรสุดท้าย (Happy Birthday), is embroiled in long-drawn domestic disputes with wife June Penchuli.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that he was taking legal action against two close persons for embezzling his company’s money amounting to 66 million THB, one of whom was later disclosed as being wife June herself.
With the controversy getting messier by the day, fans hope that his monkhood brings some respite for him. As an online comment pointed out, one can’t attack, scandalise or direct negative comments to a monk.
