Billkin and PP Krit will reunite to star in The Red Envelope, Thai production house GDH’s new comedy-mystery movie which will air in early 2025.
The movie is produced by horror filmmaker Tong Banjong and is directed by Mu Chayanop of SuckSeed and Friendzone fame.
The movie is based off the popular Taiwanese flick Marry My Dead Body, a supernatural comedy-mystery about a homophobic police officer who finds a red wedding envelope and finds himself betrothed to the owner of the envelope, a dead gay man. (You can watch that trailer here)
The movie marks the acting reunion for the duo, who shot to global fame after the boys-love series I Told Sunset About You. It is also PP’s big screen debut (Billkin starred in the GDH’s critically-acclaimed How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies).
According to Tong, although The Red Envelope will be a remake of the Taiwanese film, it “will feature new intepretations”. He adds that more details will be revealed soon.
Billkin and PP are among the T-Pop stars that GDH is tapping on for its 2025 productions. The company has also cast Daou Pittaya, NuNew and DICE member Apo in its films for the new year, though it has yet to release details.
