Celebrity couple Both-Newyear have parted ways, ending a 12-year relationship and shocking fans amid cheating allegations.
In a statement released on social media, Newyear Kitiwhut took full responsibility for the break-up, which happened two months ago, saying that he “broke an important agreement we had”, as well as alluding to “other problems”.
“Newyear accepts blame for this matter alone,” the actor, who is currently based in London, wrote. He did not elaborate further.
However, soon after the statement went public, social media posts emerged linking Newyear with a Ukrainian man who is also based in London. Footage purportedly of the two walking down the streets of London, as well as dining together, was shared widely.
The fan backlash also came fast and furious: already upset at the break-up, the revelation that Newyear had allegedly cheated and found a new beau dismayed fans even more.
Both Newyear’s and the Ukrainian man’s social media accounts were flooded with fans demanding answers.
Newyear later released a second statement, but does not address the purported relationship. He says: “Everyone makes mistakes…I don’t want to lie or hide what happened, so I intend to speak up myself today. There are many reasons and factors that happened.”
He stresses that he remains on amicable terms with Both, who has not released a public statement on the break-up.
Newyear is an actor who first entered the industry more than 10 years ago, while Both Nattapong was a TV presenter. The duo, who were engaged in September 2024, had a joint Youtube channel where they shared snippets of their lives, including their travels.
