Only Monday lead singer Tee Teepakorn has apologised for cheating on his then-girlfriend after the latter went public with the infidelity allegations.
The musician is also bearing the brunt of fan backlash following the revelation of the allegations and his subsequent apology.
Breaking his silence for the first time since allegations surfaced, Tee admitted to cheating on the woman – whom he calls ‘Bell’ – and acknowledged he had “caused her to feel bad”.
“I am well aware of my wrongdoings and I feel bad for my actions,” he writes.
“I would like to apologise to (Bell) and to everyone who I have disappointed. I apologise from the bottom of my heart,” Tee adds.
The cheating allegations came up during a social media livestream, during which the woman says she had caught Tee cheating on “more than 10” occasions, adding that she had “evidence” of his infidelity.
According to media reports, the incidents have affected ‘Bell’s’ mental health, where she recalls sleepless nights and feeling depressed.
Writing on Facebook, Tee says ‘Bell’ had ‘every right’ to share her side of her story, “because I am the one who hurt her”.
His apology largely drew criticism from fans, many of whom said they were “disappointed” by his infidelity. Some felt his apology came across as “insincere”, while others said cheating was an “unforgiveable” act.
Other fans even went as far as to suggest boycotting Only Monday’s music to protest his actions.
On X, the hashtag #OnlyMonday was also the top trending on the night of 15 July. Among the angry and disappointed posts, other netizens took to X to share who else they recommended for “sad love songs” – a nod to the Gene Lab band’s stronghold in the genre.
