White Music band getsunova has released its comeback album The Grateful Sorrow capping off their recent string of new music releases.

The five-track album – the band’s first in more than six years – encapsulates the process of letting go of pain and heartbreak completely.

The Grateful Sorrow marks an elevation of getsunova’s music and emotive storytelling. It comprises four already-released tracks: ไม่ต้องมีที่ที่ให้ฉันอยู่ แต่ขอแค่มีฉันอยู่ก็พอ (Spaceless), เลิกตั้งแต่เริ่ม (EndBeforeStart), ความทรงจำที่ไม่อยากจำ (Memory), as well as คิดถึงเป็นประจำ (Daily Life), which is a collaboration with veteran singer Dunk Phunkorn.

Capping off the album is its title track ยินดีให้กับความเสียใจ (Grateful Sorrow), a song representing letting go and moving towards a day where the pain of goodbyes is no longer felt.

The touching MV (you can watch it here) shows a young woman getting married to an important person jn her life. Despite their rocky past, she focuses on the happiness on the road ahead.

To mark the album’s launch, getsunova held a listening party on 23 November, where they performed the tracks live for the first time.
