XOXO Entertainment has terminated the contract of girl group VENITA effective immediately, as fans lamented the lack of opportunities given to the trio.
In a statement, XOXO Entertainment says all work with VENITA under its management will also be stopped.
“Although the partnership as an artiste under our agency has come to an end, XOXO Entertainment will continue to support and cheer for VENITA in their future endeavors,” the company adds.
A farewell event will be held on 26 January, to mark the end of VENITA’s journey, says XOXO Entertainment.
VENITA made their debut in 2022, and comprises members Poy, Feeling and China. The trio were contestants in the reality show Girl Group Star, whose winners went on to form 4EVE.
Reacting to the announcement, fans felt the label had failed to provide ample opportunities for the trio. VENITA has only released three songs since their debut, one a year until 2024.
Others felt XOXO Entertainment were only prioritising its two well-performing groups – understood to be 4EVE and ATLAS – but overlooking its smaller acts.
