PERSES has teamed up with rapper Tobii for their latest single Turn Me On, marking their comeback.
The track, which is produced by Mayojames, has elements of Afrobeat – a Tobii signature – layered across a distinct R&B sound, marking a shift sonically for the group. It is also the first time that PERSES is working with Tobii.
Turn Me On also showcases a more mature and sultry side of the GNEST boy group, much to the surprise (and awe) of fans.
The boys (and their toned biceps) are also a sight to behold in the MV, and the dance break – now a PERSES signature – is addictively slick.
A bonus Easter egg: the MV also features GNEST labelmates VIIS and trainee groups FAVIQ and CHERIS.
To mark the track’s release, PERSES also threw a special comeback event on 1 May, where they turned the outdoor area of centralwOrld into a party zone – complete with a mocktail bar.
The group says they are excited to be making a comeback, having not released new music for some time.
