Singer-actor JAYLERR has released his latest single Bye, a heartbreak ballad about being at the end of a painful and toxic relationship.
Set in a jazz-hip hop musical style, Bye is produced by Four Prateep with lyrics written by Chester Thanapol (of the White Music duo FIRZTER).
The song conveys a wide range of emotions, from love, longing, anger, to frustration, and through lyrics that are both playful and cutting. The chorus emphasises the decision to let go completely after realising the other person is no longer sincere.
Fans may wonder if the track was a response about his relationship with now-ex beau Thanaerng Kanyawee, but JAYLERR is very quick to dispel the rumour.
The GX10 Asia artiste clarifies: “I would like to say that this song wasn’t written to tell a story about my personal relationship.
“It started when I heard the demo and became interested because it was a style of music I’d never tried before, and it’s quite different from my previous songs,” he says.
Bye is the third of five singles from JAYLERR’s first EP JLR, which was launched recently.
